OpenClaw 2026.3.12 — Dashboard V2, Fast Mode, and Security Hardening

OpenClaw 2026.3.12 delivers a major dashboard refresh, unified fast-mode controls, plugin architecture updates, and an extensive security hardening pass.

March 12, 2026

OpenClaw 2026.3.12 is one of the bigger operator-facing updates this cycle.

What was included

Dashboard and control UI

  • Dashboard V2 refresh with modular views:

- overview - chat - config - agent - session

  • command palette and improved mobile navigation
  • richer chat tooling (search, export, pinned messages, slash-command UX)

Fast mode across providers

  • shared /fast and UI controls across surfaces (TUI, Control UI, ACP)
  • OpenAI/Codex and Anthropic fast-mode tier behavior improvements

Architecture updates

  • Provider-plugin architecture expansion for Ollama, vLLM, and SGLang
  • better modular onboarding/discovery/model setup hooks

Security hardening highlights

  • short-lived bootstrap tokens for pairing flow improvements
  • workspace plugin auto-load disabled unless explicitly trusted
  • stricter ownership/scope checks on sensitive surfaces
  • exec approval hardening against Unicode obfuscation tricks
  • additional boundary checks around sessions/sandboxing/browser routes

Reliability fixes (selected)

  • Telegram model-picker persistence and delivery path fixes
  • TUI duplicate message rendering fix
  • cron resend/proactive-delivery duplicate prevention improvements
  • channel reliability fixes across Mattermost, iMessage/BlueBubbles, and others

Why this matters for OpenClaw VPS

This release improves both operator ergonomics (Dashboard V2 + fast toggles) and risk posture (security hardening wave), which is exactly what hosted users care about in day-to-day operation.
