If you are thinking about paying for hosted OpenClaw, you should not have to decode the billing model first.
This guide keeps it simple.
Pricing and Cancellation
The current hosted price is $20/month per bot after trial, based on how long the bot stays hosted.
That means each bot you keep has its own hosted charge. Running and paused bots both count after trial until each bot is destroyed.
You are paying for:
- a private server for that bot
- hosting and upkeep
- updates and recovery work
- public web chat, plus optional private web chat through Tailscale on paid bots
- help when setup gets stuck
Your AI provider usage is separate.
What The 7-Day Trial Covers
Your first bot starts with a 7-day Pro trial.
The point of the trial is to let you:
- add your AI key
- get the bot working in web chat
- try Telegram if you want
- decide whether the setup is useful enough to keep
A payment method is collected at the start so the bot can keep running if you decide to continue.
What Happens When The Trial Ends
If you keep the subscription active, paid hosting starts and the bot stays online.
If you cancel before paid billing begins, the trial ends and the bot is removed.
What Happens If You Add More Bots
Each additional bot has its own hosted price because each bot gets its own private server.
That is part of the security model.
You can create more than one bot under the same account, but pricing still follows the number of bots you keep, whether they are running or paused.
What Happens If You Delete A Bot
If you delete one bot, future hosting charges for that bot stop.
Time already used in the current billing period can still be billed.
What You Are Not Paying For
Hosted OpenClaw pricing does not include:
- AI provider charges
- outside tools or accounts you connect separately
- your own optional messaging app costs, if any apply
Those stay with the services you choose.
The Short Version
If you want the shortest explanation, it is this:
- your first bot gets a 7-day trial
- Pro is $20/month per bot after trial until the bot is destroyed
- each bot gets its own private server
- deleting a bot stops future hosting charges for that bot
That is the current hosted model.
